Update: Two Suspects Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 2117 Chenevert Street
December 2, 2020 - Charges have been filed against two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of three men and the wounding of another man at 2117 Chenevert Street about 9:40 p.m. on October 20.
The suspects, Demontae Lavon Williams (b/m, 24) and Le Dadrine Da Prea Hall (b/m, 20), are charged with capital murder. They are not in custody. Photos of the two suspects are not being released at this time pending further investigation.
Three victims, Jailyn Bernard Page, 19, Bryce Lee Goddard, 21, and Christopher Donshae Jackson, 22, were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth victim, Sir John Mitchell, 17, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury, Jr. and Detective D. Arnold reported:
Messrs. Page, Goddard and Jackson were inside a bar at the above address when a physical altercation broke out. The altercation escalated and two unknown male suspects produced handguns and fired multiple shots at the victims. The suspects then fled the scene. Paramedics were called and pronounced Page, Goddard and Jackson deceased. Mitchell was transported to the hospital.
The suspects were described only as two black males.
Further investigation led to the identities of Williams and Hall as suspects in this case and they were charged on Tuesday (Dec. 1).
