December 2, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 1200 Webster Street about 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 1).

The identity of the victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detective T. Andrade reported:

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the street at the above address and learned the shooting happened in the 900 block of Webster where the female driver was shot through the driver’s side door by an unknown male suspect.  The woman managed to drive about three blocks before she became unresponsive and her passenger had to stop the vehicle.  The passenger performed CPR on the woman until HFD paramedics arrived.  The woman was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The suspect is described only as a light-skinned black male, 40 to 50 years of age.  He was wearing a green jacket without a collar and blue jeans.
