August 17, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8000 Crestview Drive about 7 p.m. on Sunday (August 16).

The victim, Robert Stewart, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Caten and D. Higgs reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting outside a residence at the above address and found Mr. Stewart suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  According to witnesses, two suspects stopped at the end of the driveway of the residence and exited their vehicles.  They then approached Stewart, physically assaulted him and then shot him twice. 

The suspects, described only as black males in their late 20s to early 30s, one with a medium build and the other heavy set, fled in a black or dark-colored, four door sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion. 

Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
