Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 13314 Rain Lilly Lane
April 30, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the assault of a woman that occurred at 13314 Rain Lilly Lane about 9:05 p.m. on Monday (Apr. 27).
The suspect, William Nicolas Rubio (H/m, 32), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 178th State District Court. A booking photo of Rubio is attached to this news release.
The victim, Jesus Martinez, 63, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Saulsberry reported:
The female victim was found beaten and unconscious on the floor of her residence at the above address. There was no sign of forced entry or any items missing from the home.
The woman's son (suspect Rubio), who lives at the home, could not be located. A short time later, he was found by officers damaging windows of a residence about a mile away from the scene. Rubio was brought back to his residence where evidence indicated he was involved in the assault of his mother. He was arrested and subsequently charged.
