Investigation into Man's Death at 9600 Bissonnet Street
April 8, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 9600 Bissonnet about 12:30 p.m. last Friday (April 3).
The victim, Colin Brown, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and C. Sharp reported:
Mr. Brown was found deceased in his vehicle in an auto body shop parking lot at the above address. He had no visibly apparent injuries, however an autopsy performed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined Brown likely died from head trauma.
Investigators subsequently learned that on the evening of March 27, Brown was allegedly assaulted by two suspects, described only as black males. The assault allegedly occurred after Brown refused to move his vehicle at the request of a female.
According to Brown's friends, he displayed symptoms of head trauma for days following the assault, including vomiting and complaints of severe head pain.
Police were not called to the scene following the assault.
