Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1700 Cavalcade Street
April 1, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1700 Cavalcade Street about 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday (March 31).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer S. Le reported:
The victim was driving a silver Honda Accord at a high rate of speed westbound near the above address. According to a witness, the Honda crossed the railroad tracks, went airborne and the driver lost control of the vehicle when it hit the ground. The Honda then veered to the right and struck a light pole.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
