Investigation into Shooting Incident at 3737 Hillcroft
September 06, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 3737 Hillcroft Avenue about 7 p.m. on Thursday (September 5).
The victim, Julio Cesar Gutierrez, 27, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Le reported:
Mr. Gutierrez was leaving his apartment complex at the above address when a green Mercury Villager van, occupied by four unidentified Hispanic males, pulled up in front of him. One of the males opened the sliding door and began shooting at Gutierrez, who attempted to flee on foot before collapsing a short distance away.
The suspects fled the scene.
