Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5900 Selinsky Road
October 9, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5900 Selinsky Road about 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 8).
The victim, Earnest Matthews, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Flores and T. Miller reported:
A female arrived to her boyfriend's (Mr. Matthews) apartment at the above address and found him unresponsive on the bedroom floor. Paramedics were called, observed Matthews had sustained at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him deceased.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will conduct an autopsy to help determine/confirm Matthews' manner of death.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspect(s).
