Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 4926 Dumfries Drive
November 25, 2019 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a man and a woman that occurred at 4926 Dumfries Drive about 7:45 p.m. on Thursday (November 21).
The suspect, Dustin Hethcock (w/m, 33), is charged with assault of a family member in the 209th State District Court. He suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The victims, Mary Hethcock, 63, and Freddie Marley, 69, minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers M. Althaus and Z. Brumley reported:
Ms. Hethcock was inside her residence when her son, Dustin, approached her and assaulted her. Dustin then approached Mr. Marley, who was outside the residence, and assaulted him by punching him in the head several times. In self-defense, Marley pulled out a knife and stabbed Dustin Hethcock multiple times. HPD patrol officers arrived at the location as Dustin Hethcock was being transported by paramedics to the hospital. After further investigation, Dustin Hethcock was charged for his role in the incident.
