Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3400 North Freeway
November 18, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3400 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 1 a.m. on Saturday (November 16).
The female victim, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer V. Garcia reported:
The victim had just left a bar with her husband and was reportedly heavily intoxicated and emotional. While traveling at the above address, she unbuckled her seat belt and crawled out of the vehicle. She fell out of the car and was struck by a silver Chrysler 200. The driver of the Chrysler remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
