Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 16614 Ruston Street
June 7, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 16614 Ruston Street sometime before 8:40 p.m. on Thursday (June 6).
The victim, Carlos E. Valdez, 28, of the above address, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Heaverlo and C. Duncan reported:
About 8:40 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male with gunshot wounds at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital and found the male (Valdez) had died. Further investigation revealed he was in the driveway of his home at the above address when he was approached by multiple unknown male suspects, wearing dark clothing and ski masks, who shot him multiple times. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
