Investigation into Shooting at 9802 Gulf Freeway
January 22, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 9802 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (January 20).
The victim, Enner Orlando Ayala Barrientos, was transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives C. Bowling and A. Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a vehicle with six males inside. One of them, Ayala Barrientos, had been shot in both legs. Further investigation determined the shooting may have been the result of a road rage incident involving two vehicles that occurred when the drivers were leaving a nearby club.
