Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 9002 Sterlingshire
January 7, 2019 - The fatal stabbing of a man at 9002 Sterlingshire about 8:45 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 5) is being referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The deceased man is identified as Leeroy Hardy, 64.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Officer M. Arrington reported:
Mr. Hardy and another man got into an argument after Hardy stated the man broke his cell phone. Hardy had a knife and began poking the man with the knife and eventually stabbed the man in the neck. After warning Hardy several times, the man took the knife away from Hardy and stabbed Hardy several times. Paramedics pronounced Hardy deceased at the scene. The man, who was not seriously injured, remained at the scene, was questioned by investigators and then released.
