Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2100 Hamilton Street
February 27, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 2100 Hamilton Street about 1:35 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer M. Rios reported:
According to witnesses, the driver of a silver Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on the 1900 block of Gray Street and made a southbound turn onto Hamilton Street. The Lexus went up onto the sidewalk and struck the victim, who was standing on the southeast corner of Hamilton and Gray. The driver of the Lexus continued southbound on Hamilton and did not stop to provide aid to the victim, who died at the scene.
