Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 4305 Phlox
February 13, 2019 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred about 4305 Phlox on 4:50 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 12).
The suspect, Cynthia Johnson (b/f, 56), is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Johnson is attached to this news release.
She is accused the in the death of a male, 56, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Mangano and Detective I. Ulloa reported:
Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a duplex at the above address and were advised the suspect and victim were inside the residence fighting and the victim needed assistance. Responding personnel from both HPD and the Houston Fire Department (HFD) forced entry into the residence and found the victim on the sofa. He had sustained a stab wound to the upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was found inside the residence and was arrested without incident.
