Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6407 Longflower Lane
April 29, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and female in an apparent murder/suicide incident that occurred at 6407 Longflower Lane at about 7:40 p.m. last Friday (April 26).
The identities of the male shooter and his wife are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:
Officers responded to a report of a deceased male and female and found the two victims deceased. It was reported the suspect had a history of mental illness and his wife was terminally ill with cancer. It is believed he was struggling with the stress of his wife's diagnosis and he shot her and then himself. There was an 18-month-old girl in the residence, but she was unharmed.
The investigation is continuing as investigators await autopsy results.
