Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2100 South Wayside Drive
April 19, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2100 South Wayside Drive about 4:25 p.m. on Thursday (April 18).
The identity of the male victim, 64, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Linscomb and Officer S. Le reported:
The driver of a silver Toyota Scion XB was traveling southbound on South Wayside Drive and struck a bicyclist traveling eastbound and leaving a stop sign at the intersection of Avenue V. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
