Investigation into Man's Death at 3801 Liberty Road
April 17, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 3801 Liberty Road about 11:55 p.m. on Tuesday (April 16).
The identity of the victim, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detectives E. Aguilera, T. Colbert and R. Ridel reported:
The victim was inside a neighborhood store at the above address by the front counter when an unknown suspect entered the store with a stick in his hand. The suspect approached the victim and struck him in the head with the stick at least once. Paramedics transported the victim to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, there is no known motive.
