Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13100 Almeda Road
September 18, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a female found deceased at 13100 Almeda Road about 7:40 a.m. today (September 18).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer E. Rubio reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was discovered lying in a ditch at the above address, just south of the intersection of Almeda Road and Junction Drive. Based upon her injuries and evidence at the scene, investigators believe she was struck by an unknown vehicle, the driver of which fled the scene.
