Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman's Death at 227 Faust Lane
September 7, 2018 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman at 227 Faust Lane about 1 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 6).
The suspect, Richard Engelbrink (w/m, 80), is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court. A photo of Engelbrink is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending notification to her family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Ridel and T. Colbert reported:
Patrol officers were dispatched to a person down call at a residence at the above address and found a woman being treated by Houston Fire Department paramedics. She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officers were advised Engelbrink, a family member to the victim, was taken into custody without incident at a nearby location. He was subsequently charged in the incident.
