Investigation into Fatal Crash at 500 Eastex Freeway
September 4, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 500 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 2:50 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 3).
The male victim, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer G. Anderson reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the southbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway when he was struck by a white Nissan Maxima. The female driver, 37, suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.
Currently, there are no charges in this incident. The investigation is continuing.
