Investigation into Shooting at 7300 Mullins
October 1, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting and wounding of two men that occurred at 7300 Mullins at about 12:20 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 29).
The victims, Josue Ivaldez, 17, and Denis Jose Portillo Rivas, 18, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer R. Naughton and V. Habukiha reported:
Messrs Ivaldez and Portillo Rivas were walking with a group of friends in front of an apartment complex at the above address when two unknown suspects began shooting at the group from the street, striking both victims. One of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to his abdomen and the other was struck in both legs.
The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males in a 2002 gray Jeep Liberty.
