Investigation into Shooting at 5100 Myrtlewood
June 22, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the wounding of two women at 5100 Myrtlewood about 6:15 p.m. on Thursday (June 21).
The victims, Diane Causey, 61, and Keyanna Dunn, 23, sustained non-life-threatening wounds from bullet fragments.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officer A. Le reported:
Ms. Causey and Ms. Dunn were bystanders to a fight between juvenile males at the above address. The father of one of the males in the fight began to fight with another adult male attempting to break up the juvenile fight. After the fight, the father (suspect) grabbed a rifle and fired one shot at the other adult male. The shot missed the adult male. However, bullet fragments wounded the two female victims in their legs.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
