Suspect Arrested, Charged in Crash at 400 Old Atascocita Road
June 18, 2018 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a crash that occurred at 400 Old Atascocita Road about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday (June 17).
The suspect, Errol Terry Ramnarine (A/m, 38), is charged with intoxication assault in the 178th State District Court. A booking photo of Ramnarine is attached to this news released.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer E. Clark reported:
Ramnarine was driving a blue Mercedes Benz S43 eastbound at the above address when he failed to stop at a marked railroad crossing and struck a passing train. Ramnarine was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was treated and released. His male passenger, 24, was transported via Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Ramnarine was found to intoxicated and was subsequently charged.
