Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1000 Kirby Drive
January 22, 2017 - Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1000 Kirby Drive Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 Kirby Drive about 5:10 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 21).
The male victim, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:
The victim was operating a black motorcycle northbound at the above address when he lost control and entered a grassy area of the middle median. He drove down the median and, upon re-entering the roadway, crashed. He was ejected from the bike and struck his head on the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet.
No other motorists nor vehicles were involved in this incident.
The investigation is continuing.
