Investigation in Shooting at 8900 Westheimer
January 18, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 8900 Westheimer at about 11:05 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 12).
The victim, William Chavez, 22, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives J. Hasley and M. Barrow reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Chavez suffering from a gunshot wound. Chavez stated that he was approached by two unknown black male suspects, both approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, one wearing a black hoodie and the other wearing a red hoodie. He said the males began assaulting him and demanded his wallet before shooting him once in the arm.
