Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5500 Weaver Road
December 26, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5600 Weaver Road about 6:05 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 23).
The identity of the victim, 20, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer J. Jones reported:
The victim and another male, 23, were operating Yamaha ATVs while traveling eastbound on Weaver Road when the victim struck the back of the other male's ATV. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his ATV and struck his head. The other male sustained serious injury and was transported to Lyndon Baines Johnson Hospital by private vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
