Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 11700 Fairmont Street
December 26, 2018 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 11700 Fairmont Street about 11:30 p.m. on December 11.
The suspect, Paul U. Ikemere is charged with capital murder in the 182nd State District Court. A photo of Ikemere is not available at this time.
He is accused in the shooting death of Shayne Hart, 22, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek and J. Horn and Detectives M. Perez and A. Barr reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Hart deceased near the intersection of Fairmont and Minetta. He had been shot during an apparent robbery.
Further investigation identified Ikemere as a suspect in this case and, on Thursday (Dec. 20), he was charged with Hart's murder. Ikemere was already in custody on an unrelated charge.
