Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3714 Drew
August 6, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3714 Drew at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday (August 4).
The victim, Joe Mitchell, 21, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Young and D. Stark reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Mitchell on the front porch of the residence. Family and friends stated they believed Mitchell had left the residence about 5 a.m. to go to the store. They later heard gunshots and found Mitchell on the porch. Mitchell, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was transported to the hospital by HFD paramedics.
At this time there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
