Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8324 Grandview
August 2, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 8324 Grandview about 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday (August 1).
The victim, Raul Amezcua, 47, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Sullivan and K; McDonald reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found Mr. Amezcua unresponsive and lying behind a vehicle in the driveway. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The vehicle door was open and it appeared to have been rummaged through.
Witnesses in the area told police they heard two to three gunshots on Tuesday night (July 31) between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. At that time, an unknown male suspect was seen walking away from the location. Investigators believe the motive of the shooting to be a robbery.
The suspect is described only as a black male,18 to 22 years of age, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and wearing dark clothing.
