Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3900 Southwest Freeway
April 3, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3900 Southwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 South) about 2:05 a.m. today.
The male victim, 65, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer G. Anderson reported:
The victim was involved in a crash at the above address. When he exited his vehicle and attempted to cross the Edloe/Buffalo Speedway exit ramp, he was struck by a silver Nissan Rogue.
The driver of the Nissan was interviewed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
There are no charges at this time in this incident. The investigation is continuing.
