Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3000 North Sam Houston Parkway East
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3000 North Sam Houston Parkway service road (Beltway 8) about 2 a.m. today (April 18).
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Best reported:
The victim was driving a white Lexus RX 350 SUV eastbound at the above address when he failed to maintain a single lane and drove off the main lanes of the North Sam Houston Parkway.
The SUV crossed the service road and then drove onto a grassy area before striking a steel beam at the entrance to a nearby business.
The investigation is continuing.
