Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2900 Dunvale
November 16, 2017 - A man critically injured in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 2900 Dunvale about 7:15 p.m. on November 1 has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim, 83, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
The victim was attempting to cross the street at the above address when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model traveling southbound on Dunvale. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim, who was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital by HFD paramedics in critical condition.
Doctors pronounced the man deceased on Wednesday (November 15). A preliminary investigation determined the victim failed to yield the right of way to traffic.
