Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10500 East Freeway

May 26, 2017 - HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10500 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) that occurred about 9:40 a.m. on Monday (May 22).
 
The victim, Eric Vasquez, 28, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased on Thursday (May 25).
 
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Officer S. Jones reported:


Mr. Vasquez was traveling westbound on the East Freeway when he crashed into a wall.  Vasquez told officers he was on his way home from work when he fell asleep. 
 
The investigation is continuing.
