July 31, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4700 Beechaven at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday (July 30).

The victim, Alejandro Martinez, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Thomas and Officer R. Moss reported:

Officer responded to a report of an assault at the above address and found Mr. Martinez lying in the grass with a gunshot wound.  Paramedics responded and pronounced Martinez deceased.  According to witnesses, three unknown black male suspects approached Martinez on foot, assaulted and then shot him.  They fled in a silver or gold, newer-model four door car.
