July 31, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 11305 Homestead at 10 p.m. on Sunday (July 30).

The victim, Jason Ramon Jolley, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers S. Overstreet and T. Jackson reported:

Witnesses reported a group of vehicles gathered in the parking lot of the Big City Food store at 11330 Homestead.  A black sedan, traveling southbound on Homestead in front of a carwash at 11305 Homestead, began exchanging gunfire with the vehicles in the grocery store parking lot.  Mr. Jolley was seated on a post in the front parking lot of the car wash when he was struck the gunfire.  It appears Jolley was a bystander and had no role in the dispute.
