July 31, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 9724 Richmond at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday (July 30).

The victim, Jasson Huerta, 21, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Sergeant J. Dodson and Detectives A. Ferrell and A. Hernandez reported:

Mr. Huerta was involved in an altercation with several unknown Hispanic male suspects outside a nightclub at the above address.  During the altercation, one of the suspects produced a firearm and began firing it at Huerta and his friends.  Huerta was stuck one time and it was transported to an area hospital.  It is believed the suspects fled in a light blue or silver Chevrolet or GMC truck.
