Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3200 Broadway

January 30, 2017 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash at 3200 Broadway about 9:35 p.m. on Saturday (January 28).  

The male victim, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Duplechain and Officer G. Anderson reported:  

The driver of a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling northbound on Broadway when the vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway.  The driver immediately stopped and waited for police.  

Further investigation determined the victim was crossing in a darkened area with no crosswalk.  The driver of the Ford was found not to be impaired, questioned and released at the scene.
