Investigation in Fatal Crash at 8600 Humble Westfield Road

January 23, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal hit and run crash that was discovered at 8600 Humble Westfield Road at about 9:35 a.m. on Sunday (January 22).

The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer E. Rubio reported:

Officers responded to a report of a body found in a drainage ditch on the side of the roadway at the above address.  The initial investigation revealed the victim appeared to have been walking on the north side of the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model.   

The investigation is continuing.
