UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 680 West Sam Houston Parkway South
January 12, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 680 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 11:10 p.m. on December 26, 2016.
The suspect, Kenia Lashan Wilkins (b/f, 21), is charged with capital murder in the 339th State District Court. She is accused in the killing of Meng Bo, 30, of Houston, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer S. Spivey and Officer T. Ferguson reported:
Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot in the Camden Holly Springs apartment complex at the above address. They then found Ms. Bo in the complex and attempted to provide medical assistance. HFD paramedics arrived a short time later and pronounced her deceased.
According to witnesses, a dark-colored, four-door sedan fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
Further investigation identified Wilkins as the suspect in this case and, on Wednesday (January 11), she was taken into custody without incident.
