Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11000 Segrest
February 26, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11000 Segrest about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday (February 25).
The victim, Rayland Dunta Maryland, 22, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Brooks and C. Cegielski reported:
Mr. Maryland and a suspect got into an argument that escalated into an exchange of gunfire. Maryland was struck and died. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting. He was described only as a black male in his 20s.
