Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4106 Englewood
February 19, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4106 Englewood about 12:05 a.m. today.
The victim, Sherron Wilkins, of the above address, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Wilkins with multiple gun shot wounds. Witnesses told police that Wilkins got into a fight in front of his residence with an acquaintance. At some point, the acquaintance (suspect) pulled out a pistol and shot Wilkins. The suspect then fled northbound on Englewood in an SUV of unknown make and model.
The suspect is described only as a black male.
