Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11200 Hillcroft
February 4, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11200 Hillcroft about 6:10 a.m. today.
The victim, a male pedestrian, 70, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:
The driver of a gold Ford Explorer, traveling northbound on Hillcroft, passed through the West Bellfort intersection and struck the victim. The man had left a grassy median and attempted to cross Hillcroft while not in a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and was questioned and released. At this time, it appears the pedestrian is at fault in this incident.
The investigation is continuing.
