Update: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 9800 Bissonnet
February 3, 2016 - Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a male found at 9800 Bissonnet about 1:30 a.m. on January 22.
The suspects, James Wallace Fields (b/m, 23), Ashten Nichole Carter (b/f, 23), Christopher Demond Hollis (b/m, 21) are charged with capital murder in the 337th State District Court.
Photos of all three suspects are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Senior Police Officer M. Stahlin reported:
Patrol officers noticed a vehicle in a strip center parking lot at the above address and, upon further inspection, observed multiple bullet strikes on the outside of the vehicle. They then saw an unresponsive male in the driver's seat. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was shot at least one time.
Further investigation developed information that identified Fields, Carter and Hollis as suspects in this case. All three were arrested and subsequently charged for their roles in the incident.
