Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7600 Katy Freeway
December 27, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 7600 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) at about 11:10 p.m. on Friday (December 23).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Officer J. Rivera reported:
The victim was operating a black Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on I10 when he took the ramp to merge onto North Loop 610. As he rounded the curve, he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was then transported by HFD paramedics to Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No other vehicles nor persons were involved in this crash.
