Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 13201 Northwest Freeway
August 30, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 13201 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road about 5:55 p.m. on Monday (August 29).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Robles and Officers I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:
The victim, an armored truck security officer, was in the process of servicing a Wells Fargo Bank ATM in the parking lot at the above address when he was shot and robbed. Witnesses saw a black male suspect leaving the scene in a blue Toyota Camry. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
