Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13700 Scarsdale
August 18, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13700 Scarsdale about 9:25 p.m. on Wednesday (August 17).
The female victim, 22, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Williams and Officer M. Rios reported:
The victim was driving a black Kia Forte on Scarsdale at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of a gray Honda Accord. The Kia then veered into oncoming traffic and struck a white Ford F-150 pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the Kia was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital. Two juvenile passengers in the Kia were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown conditions. The 34 year-old male driver of the Ford was transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in an unknown condition. The 29 year-old male driver of the Honda was treated at the scene and released.
The investigation is continuing.
