Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3800 Hillcroft
April 25, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 3800 Hillcroft about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday (April 24).
The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer Singleton reported:
The male pedestrian was walking in the middle of the street, in a moving lane of traffic, at the above address when he was struck by a white Acura RSS. The driver of the Acura fled the scene and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Acura was then involved in an accident at 4098 Hillcroft, approximately three blocks away. The driver was then detained for further investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
