Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10700 South Freeway
October 16, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10700 South Freeway (South State Highway 288) about 9 p.m. on Thursday (October 15).
The male victim, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer J. Hill reported:
The driver of a blue Honda Civic was driving the wrong way on the South Freeway, southbound in the northbound lanes, and struck a red Dodge Journey head on. The driver of the Honda died at the scene. The male driver of the Dodge was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
