March 30, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7500 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday (March 29).

The identity of the male victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer T. Riley reported:

An unknown vehicle was traveling westbound on the East Freeway and exited at North Wayside Drive.  The victim, wearing dark clothing, was walking on the exit ramp when he was struck by the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle fled without rendering aid.
